PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR

Reporting To: Project Manager

Torquemeters is a specialist engineering company with a worldwide reputation as an innovator in low volume, high performance solutions for torque measurement, power transmission and test bed systems across various industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy and oil & gas and bespoke products.

This is a new role to help with increased levels of business, working closely with, and reporting to, the Project Manager, to manage day to day activities, initiating and co-ordinating projects and ensuring they stay on target from start to finish.

The role

  • Creating and updating project schedules, monitoring completion of milestones
  • Understanding the implications and demands of the customer
  • Allocating resource for new orders received into engineering
  • Organising, scheduling, and running contract reviews/release to production meetings to maintain schedules
  • Closeouts of all projects
  • Liaising with the internal team and subcontract resources and over time developing communications with customers on project progress

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Manufacturing industry background desirable
  • Basic knowledge of Terms and Conditions
  • Able to support a high volume of tasks and activities

  • The role is offered as part-time or full time between 16 and 37 hours per week within the core full time hours of Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:15 with ½ hour lunch break, and Fridays 08:30 – 12:30
  • Up to five weeks paid annual leave (pro rata to hours and days worked) plus statutory Bank Holidays

Torquemeters premises are situated in a rural location not served by public transport and therefore your own transport will be required.
